Almost a month into construction and there are initial signs of how the exterior footprint of the Phi Phi house will change. One addition to the exterior will be a patio area on the east side of the great hall wing. This will offer an outdoor social area for brothers and guests. There will also be a door into the east stairwell that will lead down to the basement. This door will allow the chapter to close off the rest of the chapter house during social functions and limit guests to the lower level. 

When excavating this area for the patio the contractors came upon the old foundation of the east house that was connected to the great hall wing when that wing was first constructed in 1963-1964.  Photo Album.
