A College That Can Change Your Life
We like to think so. Loren Pope agrees with us. You may ask, who's Loren Pope?
Loren Pope authored a college guidebook entitled "Colleges That Change Lives". The book was first published in 1996 and profiled 38 colleges that, in the author's opinion, change the lives of the students who attend those institutions.
In 2000, a revised version of the book was printed which added two colleges to the group, including Wabash College. A second revision is scheduled for release later this year and if you're just starting your college search, I suggest picking up a copy. A lot of guidance offices keep copies on hand as well.
Wabash has enjoyed a very successful partnership with Colleges That Change Lives. Beyond inclusion in the book, schools featured in the book participate in 4 college fair tours beginning in May of each year. In fact, this year the tour will have an international flavor. A fifth tour is scheduled that will visit cities across Latin America.
The dates and locations for the 2006 tours are available on the Colleges That Change Lives web site. If there's a fair scheduled close to your home or your summer travels bring you to a host city, I encourage you to attend. I promise it will be a worthwhile experience, perhaps a life-changing one.
