One last piece of information on Rush
Just a few more tips from the IFC.
1. Be yourself. There is nothing more important than being yourself during Rush. You will end up in the right fraternity for you, and you will be happy with your decision.
2. Check out each fraternity. It is important to make an effort to look at each fraternity individually. You can learn about each house during the Activities Fair Friday morning during registration.
3. Take your time. Joining a fraternity is a momentous decision. Be sure that the fraternity that gives you a bid is one you will be happy and proud to join.
4. Dry rush. Alcohol is not allowed at any rush activity. National, College, and IFC policies stipulate that all activities associated with rush remain alcohol free.
5. Ask questions. Make sure all of your questions are sufficiently answered. By asking questions you will be able to find out more about each fraternity and its members.
6. Dress casual for rush activities in the evening.
Check back on Wednesday for information about Dorm life.
Also, if you are attending Honor Scholarship Weekend and you have indicated that you will be arriving by plane, train, or bus, please contact the Admissions Office to arrange additional transportation to campus.
