Spring Visit Day

Chip Timmons - On Saturday, we hosted our Spring Visit Day and for the first time in a while, Mother Nature decided to cooperate.  It's not that we have a history of bad weather for this event, but the weather as of late has just been lousy.  With ideal conditions, there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, so be sure to check out both photo albums from the visit day.

We had a great crowd that asks lots of thoughtful questions of our students, faculty, and staff.  If Saturday is any indication of what's ahead for the next recruitment cycle, I'd say we're headed toward another great year.

Today also marked our summer interns first day as tour guides and the feedback we received from our guests suggested you really couldn't tell these guys were rookies.

In addition to our interns, Wabash faculty and coaches were out in force on Saturday and I'm always impressed to see the number of members of this community who find time to help our office at a time when most college campuses are relatively empty.  For most of our guests, today was their first visit to campus and their introduction to the recruitment process at Wabash.  I'd say we made a great first impression.

Tom Runge '71, Director of Alumni and Parent relations, lent me one of his cameras today as I'm looking to upgrade my blogging equipment. In honor of Tom's quest to take "the perfect Chapel photo", my first shot of the day was taken as I made my way to registration.  Not bad for my first attempt if I do say so myself.
