Time to Relax?
Chip Timmons - Now that the May 1 deadline has passed, you might think it's time to relax for the Admissions Staff. Finals are over, so you'd think our students would be long gone. For both of us, the answer is "not yet."
Recruitment of the class of 2011 is well underway and a couple of our student workers stuck around to help until our summer interns start next week. Josh Bellis '08 and Tim Rickard '08 are still in Crawfordsville for different reasons (Josh's car is in the shop and Tim has another track meet this Friday), but I'd like to think they're still working for us for the same reason...they love the work. Who am I kidding? They need gas money.
The summer can be pretty quiet around here. Instead of a student staff of around 20 students, we'll have three interns working with us this summer. We still have some noise to make on May 20, our Spring Visit Day. We're expecting a record turnout for that event, but after that our students (both paid and volunteers) will head home to start summer jobs or internships and squeeze in family vacations. To all of you who are a part of our team, thanks for a job well done and have a great summer.
