Summer Visits are Heating Up!

Chip Timmons - On Monday, our football coaches hosted a visit program which brought another large group of students and families to campus.  When you add their numbers to our attendance from Friday's canoe trip, we had well over 100 students visit campus between those two visit programs.

In addition to meeting the coaches, players, and learning more about the Wabash football program, students heard from Walter Blake as he highlighted important dates in the admissions process and preached the importance of applying early in the fall.

I'm in the process of editing the printed version of the 2006-07 application for admission which will be available later this summer, but the online application will be available in early July.  I'll announce the release of new application on this blog and on the Future Students web page.

I'd like to commend the students and their families who've visited campus for both programs. Not only did students and parents take a day off from work, but one could argue that the summer is the busiest time of the year for high school students, especially student-athletes.  In addition to summer jobs, students have to juggle college visits, summer sports camps (Wabash will host several of its own this summer), leadership programs (e.g. Boys State and HOBY), and hopefully a family vacation.

Now that I've made a plug for the application, I better get back to work on the application to ensure it's available when promised. If you would like to visit Wabash this summer, just give us a call at 800-345-5385 or schedule a visit online at www.wabash.edu/admissions/visit.
