Lilly Begins Tomorrow

Chip Timmons - Despite the below average temperatures, it's springtime, so you know what that means. The Final Four has come and gone.  The Masters has a new champion. Up next, Lilly.

Tomorrow afternoon, 30 finalists for the Lilly Award will arrive on campus to vie for our most prestigious scholarship.  Established in 1974 to honor the Lilly family of Indiana, the Lilly Award covers the winners' tuition, fees, room and board and is currently estimated to be worth more than $140,000.

The finalists will certainly be put to the test, but as we say, "it won't be easy, but it will be worth it."  That expression is usually used to describe a student's entire body of work at Wabash, but 30 students will get an early taste of it starting tomorrow.

The finalists will have some fun as well. Friday evening, we'll take the entire group out to dinner and our guests will spend some time with current students. We'll have photos of that trip, so check back this weekend for more Lilly updates.
