Another Summer of Changes
Chip Timmons - The summer of 2006 was a summer filled with change for Wabash College. Almost one year ago, the College welcomed a new President, Dean of the College, and Treasurer and obviously those changes directly impacted our office. Well, we have more changes in store for this summer and ones that perhaps collectively will have an impact even greater than those mentioned above.
Rudy Cope, Assistant Director of Admissions, recently accepted a college counseling position at a private high school in Memphis, TN and this Thursday will be his final day in the office. We're going to miss Rudy around here. He's been a valuable member of our team for the past six years and although he's not a Wabash alumnus, he had a commitment to the liberal arts and dedication to Wabash on par with our alumni.
A search was underway to fill an open counseling position when Rudy informed us of his leaving. Now with Rudy's departure, two new counselors will be joining our staff later this summer and I'll introduce you to them once they officially begin their work in the Admissions Office.
Changes are in store for others on staff. For those who frequent Trippet Hall, you'll find that Leanah Brown, Jamie Watson, and myself have re-located. Leanah's moving to the East end of our suite of offices, Jamie to my old space, and I will move into Leanah's old space.
Whether it's move 500 miles or 50 feet, sometimes a change of scenery is good for you.
