We're not Re-building, We're Re-loading
Chip Timmons - I love sports analogies, so here’s one for you. Your team just completed a record-setting year and you start the next season with five rookies in the starting lineup. If this team were the Indianapolis Colts, would you put money on them to repeat? Probably not, but the team I’m referring to is the Admissions Office team.
Friday, we hosted our first fall class visit day of the year and the first fall visit day in the careers of five of our staff members. Collin Lanam, Trisha Mishler, Mike Owens, Marty Schap, and Jamie Watson got their first taste of regular season action and they’re hungry for more. Photos from Friday’s program.
Jamie joined our staff in February and directed all of our spring visit programs last year and picked up where she left off. Mike and Marty joined us in July and August respectively and they each have a week of travel under their belts. They’re both getting used to the rhythm of the travel season.
Trisha joined our staff on September 10 and she’s ready for the barrage of new inquiries and data entry that comes with the fall. Lastly, Collin Lanam started on Monday and he’s on his way to Valparaiso for his first week of high school visits. Talk about hitting the ground running. You’ll hear more from my colleagues throughout the year as they share some tales from the road.
Don’t forget about the grizzled veterans like Walter, Damon, Steve, Marc, and the most grizzled of all, Mike Reidy starting his 29th year at Wabash. I think I speak for all of us when I say it’s been an interesting year thus far, but we’re all excited about what’s ahead.
Our next visit program is October 5, so until then we’ll see you on the road. Better yet, hope to see you on campus.
