1st Trip to Evansville a Success

Marty Schap - After my first ever extended visit to Evansville, I really look forward to getting back to that town. Evansville is a well populated area that maintains a small town charm, and everywhere I went the people I met were friendly and enthusiastic about Wabash.

High school guidance counselors went out of there way to help me, and their enthusiasm paid off for me. I saw quality guys who will be great fits for Wabash, and any one of the young men I saw at Francis J. Reitz, Central or Gibson Southern would fit right in at Wabash. These were excellent students, fine athletes, and all were involved in numerous clubs and organizations at their schools.

My trip To F.J. Reitz would have been worthwhile just to see their sports fields. They are set up on a hill that overlooks the city and the Ohio River. It must be a great place to watch a football game.

I also got to attend an Evansville Association of Wabash Men dinner that featured Wabash Pres. Pat White as the speaker. I met some of the men and families who have made Evansville such a successful territory for the college. The enthusiasm for Wabash that exists in Evansville is tremendous, and I felt lucky to be included in the group.
