Top Ten Thank Yous

Another successful Top Ten Visit Day has come and gone and we have several alumni volunteers to thank for their support.  Read more about the visit day.

Special thanks to our keynote speaker, Scott Smalstig '88.  He set the tone for the day and got everyone off to a great start.  The alumni panels received rave reviews as well.  Tom Bailey '00, David Boulware '96, Aman Brar '99, Kevin Gearheart '98, Scott Medsker '03, Steve Pfanstiel '95, Jeremy Robinson '04, Bert Salinas '97, and Dan Vukas '96.  As if the questions from students, parents, and David Hadley were challenging enough, a few of our panelists had to deal with flight delays, post-midnight arrivals, and 3 hour drives to campus.  Thanks to all of you for making time to help us on Friday.

The local alumni groups did their parts as well.  The Sugar Creek and Indianapolis Associations of Wabash Men had volunteers at lunch to visit with the parents our guests. Pete Allen '73 passed up lunch at Shapiro's to dine with us instead.  Joining Pete were Mike Burkett '75, Rick Cavanaugh '76, Steve Golliher '67, Craig Green '59, Brad Johnson '71, Jon Pactor '71, Dale Petrie '75, John Roberts '83, Hugh Vandivier '91, and Brad Weaver '91.

We still have a long way to go, but the Top Ten has certainly provided some momentum.  The next big date on the calendar is our Early Action application deadline of December 15.  If you're working with a prospective student, remind him to get his application completed by this date.  Students applying by December 15 will receive priority consideration for admission.

Go Wabash!  Bring home the Bell!
