Wabash Night Update

It's the day before Thanksgiving which means we're nearing the end of our fall Wabash Night circuit.  For those that don't know, Wabash Nights are off-campus receptions that bring together Wabash alumni, faculty, students, and staff to promote Wabash to prospective students and their parents.

This week alone, we've hosted events in Merrillville, Evansville, Fort Wayne, and South Bend. Two more events are scheduled next week in Grand Rapids, MI and Cincinnati.  Lots of hours go into the promotion, planning, etc., but the success of a Wabash Night depends largely on the enthusiasm and support from our alumni at these events.

I'd like to thank all of the alumni who helped us this week.

Evansville - Tom Bailey '00, Matt Piechocki '03, Mark Schnepper '74, John C. Schroeder '69, and Scott Schroeder '99

Fort Wayne - Jamie Bopp '03, Emmanuel Glick '03, Tim Grusenmeyer '85, Bob Hall '74 (pictured), Lonnie Heck '03, Ryan Holmes '99, Andrew Krouse '03, Thomas Rice '06, Chris Willig '94, Pete Wilson '84, David Zimmerman '93

Merrillville - Leonard Angli '76, Shawn Cox '94, Scott McEuen '83, Doug Shelbourne '76

South Bend - Andy Auter '86, Dick Barger '55, Chad Chester '93, Leo Priemer '06, Paul Tipps '74

I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  As for me, I plan to overindulge on food and football. For the casual football fan, three NFL games on Thanksgiving day would be enough, but I'm not your casual football fan.

In addition to the NFL triple-header, I plan to cheer the Little Giants to victory against Wheaton on Saturday afternoon and afterwards take the family to Lucas Oil Stadium to watch my brother, Brad '99, and his Center Grove Trojans battle the Carmel Greyhounds in the Class 5A state championship game at 7:05 PM.

Until next time...
