Ladoga, Indiana

Ladoga, Indiana turned out to be much larger than I thought. I know I missed a lot in my short stop over the lunch hour. Lots of photo opportunities here - I will definitely go back.

I can see how David Blix '70 has such fond memories - every one I passed waived to me and everyone I spoke with showed that great Hoosier hospitality.

Photos here.

I was bored, looking for Ladoga history, and ran across your Ladoga photos. To answer the question about the church/barn: My ex and I owned that property from 1993-1995. My understanding is the barn had been the Methodist church in town until the mid-1850s, when it was rolled down to the current site -- on logs -- and raised into place on the brick foundation. We kept horses in the lower part of the barn. The "church" part wasn't stable (ha!) enough to hold much.
