This week is here
The start of another week in the life of a Wabash freshman always will consist of school work. Monday was the day of nothing particularly interesting. While walking to the Beta house from the Fine Arts Center, I saw my first train go by on campus. Although this may seem corny back at home in Rhode Island the train tracks are fenced in and have electric lines overhead for the high speed trains. While on the subject of home, being from New England I have always had the chance to sample the finest the Atlantic Ocean had to offer from Lobster to Quahogs. Here in Indiana I have yet to taste anything that defines the region of its cultural heritage like what seafood is to Rhode Island.
Tuesday was a cool day for me. I took some time out of my busy schedule to go to the bookstore and purchase postcards to surprise relatives back at home who have not heard from me in a while. I wrote about how much fun it is to meet new people (and how hard it is to remember everyone’s name), the workload, and how much I can not wait to come home on Christmas vacation.
I can not wait for Wednesday because there will be a lunch and lecture on the Lincoln/Douglas debates which will surely help me with my debate on Obama’s economic stimulus plan in political debate.
Since I have a few minutes left before I have to jet I would like to take the time to wish Justin Froedge, my pledge educator at Beta Theta Pi, and Kris Koldaris, my friend from Theta Delta Chi a happy birthday.
