Bittersweet Weekend

This weekend has been bittersweet. The big story was the Monon Bell game. First off I must congratulate the Rugby team for winning a Rugby game against DePauw University on Friday. Although it was very dark and rainy, Wabash students still showed their support for their fellow college students. What was even more interesting was that the Rugby game was at DePauw, but there were more Wabash students supporting the Rugby team than DePauw students. The next day was a very exciting Saturday. There were so many cars and people tailgating behind the Allen Athletic Center. To win the football game would have been nice but just because we lost doesn't mean we are losers. I personally had fun cheering in the crowds and enjoying all the great food at the tailgate. The cold weather was not so bad although; the only thing that I could have done without was the wind. After the game I headed back to the Beta house were I cut up my first hog roast. Saturday night was particularly boring. Beta alumni were at the house getting to know my pledge-brothers and I. For the rest of the night I got some school work done and listen to music. The next day, Sunday, was clean up day at the Beta house. Since it was Monon Bell weekend and there were so many family members and alumni in the house Saturday, the house was looking a little messy. After cleaning for a while I did what all good Wabash student does and that is study. I got a lot of work done Sunday night in good anticipation for the following week. A few key events next week is 1st. Indoor Track is starting 2nd. Picking my classes for next semester and 3rd. Fall break starts Friday at 2:10!
