Break...finally!!!
Finally, I do not have to go to classes for a whole week! Nothing is better than the feeling of freedom. On Friday night I went to the basketball game. The game was pretty cool to see Wabash in our first game of the season, but not so cool to see us loose. The basketball game was also great because I not only had a chance to see one of my pledge-brothers (Brien Shelbourne) perform but I also had the chance to get out of the cold of the football games. Saturday was a very awkward day. I work on a paper due later that day for my freshman tutorial and then I went to yet another basketball game in which we won (against DePauw by the way). That same day I found out that the football team came back from our Monon loss to beat Case Western! Overall I guess it was a good day for Wabash sports on Saturday and I congratulate all athletes who played. After the basketball game I went back to the Beta house to relax and wait for my pledge-brother Donovan White to finish his paper he was working on so we could head on down to Indianapolis for Thanksgiving break. After chatting on facebook for a few hours I came to the conclusion that the Beta house was awful empty. Usually there is about 40 or so guys in the house which means there is always someone to talk to. With only three guys in the house, since everyone went home for break and the sports teams were out, the house was basically dead. I did my best to entertain myself and even took a nap. Around 9pm we backed up the car and left Wabash, finally! That night I stayed up playing Monopoly with Donovan’s cousins and sister. Everyone knows Monopoly never ends but I think I was the winner. After that I went of the bed to get some much needed sleep. I slept from around 3am to about 1pm the following day. In my own surprise I do not think I ever slept for so long. I even went back to sleep from around 7pm to 11pm. Later that night I watched some movies and T.V with Donovan then went off to sleep again. Monday I woke up late for me around 10am and played some video games. Then we went off to the University of Indianapolis to visit some of Donovan’s friends from high school. Can not wait for tonight when I we go out to the movies with some of my other pledge-bothers who live in Indianapolis.
