Cool Weekend and Future Freshman
This weekend has been great. Saturday was the day in which I really felt like I was an independent college student without the constraints of pledge-ship. Saturday morning I woke up around 9am, to do all of my laundry. While I did my laundry I also read and studied for a few classes for the up and coming week. In the afternoon I worked on more schoolwork and prepared for an awesome night. After dinner with my pledge-brothers at Taco Bell, I went to go and hang out with some friends off campus. After, I went over to College Hall to visit a Track teammate of mine Wes Chamblee. While visiting him I played Super Smash brothers and welcomed two new recruits from California. One of the recruits (Dash) from California runs track and is (from what the Coach has told me) pretty good. What is funny
about Dash is his striking similarity in facial features to Wes, it’s as if they were separated at birth. After hanging out there I made my way back to the Beta house around 1 am, and promptly heading to bed. Sunday was also a great day. Although I woke up a little later than first hoped I still got everything done. I did everything from showering, cleaning, working out, and studying. Later Sunday night I went over to Trippet Hall and picked up two new recruits all from Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas (Denzel and James). After picking them up and showing them around the Beta house we went to Arnie’s for a quick dinner. They asked a million and one questions ranging from fraternity life to where is the best place on campus to get a haircut. Being the open person that I am, I gladly answered every question, truthfully. Sunday night was capped off with more studying and getting ready for the week ahead. I cannot wait for this week coming up. Martin Luther King Day is tomorrow and the MXI is hosting a few interesting events and the first Student Senate meeting is on Tuesday.
Logan Frederick
Logan has a way of telling people he is cool to be around without mentioning it. Logan is a baseball player who hails from Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Indiana. Logan is a ladies’ man and can be seen at parties with the hottest girl. What strikes me as odd is that he can be such a ladies’ man but still be cool and down to Earth. Many times it is a rarity to find both in the same person. Logan is also on the Baseball team here at Wabash and is one of my favorite pledge-brothers.
