End of a Decent Week

The rest of my week has been for the most part uneventful. On Thursday morning after my Rhetoric class I went to the Chapel Talk. President White spoke and his words reminded everyone of the past semester and the bright outlook on this semester. That afternoon right before track practice I decided to go to the trainer’s room to get some of the soreness out of my body before the track meet on Saturday. One of the trainers (Mark) advised me to get on the elliptical machine in the weight room. When I got on the machine and starting working out the power in the entire Allen Center went off. I hope the power going out was not my fault. Later I found out that the power went out all over Crawfordsville. After Track practice, feeling sore as can be, I had my first ice bath. I thought I was going to die because the water was so cold. Today (Friday) has been good so far. Midday I went to the trainer’s room again to stretch the soreness out, and realized the trainer’s room has a few characters that make the pain of athletics bearable.  Later today I have a quiz in German that I prepared for. Many of my pledge-brothers have the same Religion class, so it was interesting watching them all study the same thing over breakfast this morning. I can not wait for tonight when the Career Center is hosting a “Chill Out” get together in the Allen Center, after that I hope to hang out with some of my track buddies. Tomorrow Wabash will definitely be a buzz. A Wresting Event, Track Meet, and a Basketball game, are all going on, so there is always something going on!

Marc Knoll
Marc has a heart of gold. He is always willing to do someone else’s house job  if then need time to study or if they just “happen” to forget to get it done. Marc (aka Klump) also is a very smart individual. He even made the Deans list last semester.  He is in my German Class and also in my Music Fundamentals class which is comforting because I know if I need help I can always relay on him. What is most interesting about Marc is his sense of humor. Anyone who knows him understands he has a joke for everything, and unlike my sarcastic, “dry” jokes, his are really funny ones.  Marc has made the journey to Wabash from Fort Wayne, Indiana and attended Bishop Dwenger High School.
