Keeping Busy!

This rest of my hectic week has been well, hectic.  On Thursday I had my Rhetoric class as usual. After class I had just about a millions different things I had to get accomplished. One of my pledge-brothers was kind enough to give me a ride to Chase Bank and Wal-Mart. While on our way to his car we saw that there was a mountain of snow on the car since it hasn’t moved in a while. About a good minute of hard work and snow removal was required for us to get on our way. After going getting some errands done we had lunch back at the house and then I headed off to the career center to pick up a suit for Sunday (Initiation!). After doing a few more things done it was already time for track practice. Practice was not long and after I did some school work before heading over to the library for a long Community Service Committee meeting. Friday was an easy laid back day for me. After my Philosophy class I was done for the day because afternoon classes were canceled. Classes at Wabash (from my understanding) are rarely canceled. All afternoon classes were canceled because it Student Research Day. I watched my pledge-father (Jay Horrey) present his senior seminar project on the wage gap between minorities in Brazil, Canada, and the US. I also walked around and learned about various projects. Track practice was short because the field house was being set up for a dinner. That night I, along with my track teammates Jake Zielinski and Wes Chamblee headed over to Coach Morgan’s home. He was kind enough to give me line-up and Wes a hair cut. While Wes was getting his hair cut I challenged Coach Morgan’s little son to a game on the Wii. Although I won the first game I am ashamed to say that I was thoroughly beat the rest of the time I played. Tomorrow I have a track meet to go to, this time it is at Denison University in Ohio and on Sunday is initiation day, can’t wait.

Brady Hagerty

I have argued with very few people hear at Wabash. Brady is one of them. What I have came to learn is that we could be in a heated argument and then talk again like nothing ever happened five minutes later. Brady is a cool kid who comes from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has a brother in the house that is about to graduate who is also in the Beta House. Although we have our quarrels, I know he is a nice person deep down inside. Brady was the one on Thursday who was kind enough to take me to the bank and Wal-Mart. I’m glad he is my pledge-brother because I know if I was in any trouble he would have my back, and since he never backs down in an argument (even when he is wrong), I can rest assure someone has my back.
