Lights Out!
For some reason I was really excited about my track meet on Saturday, not because I had to run but because the meet was held at our rival school, DePauw. The day started off chilly then warmed up very quickly by the time I had to run. That day I ran the 400 meter and the 200 meter. In my 200 meter race I was so close to beating a guy from DePauw but concentrated on having a good finish. During the meet one of my pledge brothers (Donovan White), chased down and beat a DePauw student in the last 50 meters of his race, which made for a good evening. Back at Wabash later that night I went the library to get some English work done. I was sat in the back of the library reading for a while and when the lights went out and it got really quiet. Thinking I might just be in a horror movie, I pack up all my stuff and raced out of the library. The guard told me it was just closing time and there was nothing to worry about. That whole event ruined my reading concentration so I decided to watch Saw V with some friends until
about 1 AM. Sunday was not the usual Sunday because it was our Mothers Day Brunch. Our cook, Ms. Debbie, transformed our dinning room into a tropical Hawaiian paradise. Although my mom could not make it, I was still able to eat and have fun with all my pledge-brothers moms. Later that day I hit the books again at the library as usual and did laundry. I hear it’s supposed to Snow next week…interesting.
