All Over the State This Weekend!
This weekend was supposed to be fun. Turns out it was mildly interesting. I was supposed to leave town Friday night but had a change of plans and did homework. Around 10PM I went over to the Lambda Chi house, all the way across campus, to watch the movie 1408,
with my friend Zach and his associate brothers. The movie was scary to a point. After a while I felt that the movie was trying to scare me over an over again with the same material. The next day I woke up to an empty room. Both of my roommates were off to different sporting events representing Wabash while I was in my room all alone. I accomplished some school work then got dressed and headed out to Ball State University in Muncie, IN for the night. To be honest, I really didn’t like it. I felt Ball State was just a dreary, generic, large school. I am not trying to doubt anyone who went there; I am just saying…I didn’t care much for it. After hanging out at Ball State for the night, on our drive back to Wabash Sunday morning I received a call from one of my pledge-brothers. Turns out one of my pledge-brothers was stuck in Bloomington, IN and didn’t have a way of getting back to school. So, when I got back to Crawfordsville around 12PM, borrowed another pledge-brothers car and drove an hour and a half to Bloomington and back. I think the fact that I had the instinct to just get up and help one of my pledge-brothers out really speaks to how close of a pledge class we are. Besides I have only been to Bloomington four times, and on the way down and back I really wasn’t really paying attention. My not paying attention made the ride down to Bloomington interesting. This week on Wednesday I have two tests and one paper due, so I am anticipating long nights. Next weekend looks like real fun with the Beta Conclave, and our Soiree.
