Femi Oluyedun, Class of 2012
Hey guys. My name is Olufemi Oluyedun. I go by Femi though because is shorter and easier to say. I was a forward at the International School of Indiana and my club team Dynamo F.C. For a majority of the summer I have been searching for jobs, hanging out with friends, and working out.
I play soccer with my brothers at the soccer pitch by our house once a day if not twice. I go to the gym twice a week to run on the treadmill for a bit and then shoot around at the basketball court. I also attended basketball open gyms at my high school to prepare for the Indiana Basketball East West All-Star game that I was selected to play in. I was selected to play on the West Indiana All-Star team. The game was on July 19th of which my team won in a blow out 80 to 59 against the East Indiana All-Star team. I was fortunate enough to win the Mental Attitude Award and MVP honors. So it was a good night for me.
That same night my brother Kunle played in the National Championship Final match with his Camel United team up against PDA. They won the game 1-0 and became the first boy’s soccer team from Indiana to win a National title. So if someone were to ask I would say that day was a highlight of my summer.
I’m excited to start the new season and am ready as ever. Hope all is fine.
