A Different Team
Last season, we lost five NCAC games with one goal differential and four of these games with goals scored against us in the last seconds of regulation and/or overtime.
Yesterday, we beat Millikin 1 - 0 playing a very good first half and staying composed and though until the referee blew the final whistle.... and we won... we won the same type of game we lost last year.
What's different? Lots! The type of soccer we play, the encouragement we receive from being very competitive, the opportunities we create, and the overall team chemistry allow us to stay focused on the task ahead of us.
We won two home games and we now venture outside our comfortable walls to face two good soccer programs. Our maturity test and how far we can go this season will have much to do with how we tackle the next two games....one game at a time.
Stay tuned.
WAF!!
