Family
Josh Linthicum ’12 - Football camp at Wabash College is a special life changing experience. Now, you may say how would I know I have only done it for one year, but it made that much of an impact on my life. I was unsure of what to expect because it was the unknown for me. The older guys just take you under their wing and watch out for you like big brothers. That is what Wabash Football is all about is family. Camp had the usual football things such as learning plays and practice, but there was more to it than just those normal things. We had team building things that brought us together more as a family. We did things such as outrageous introductions and tug-of-war and I was like how are we preparing for the season, but we were because the best team in the world is your family and these guys are my family and I wouldn't want to go into battle with anyone else than my brothers. It was an experience that has changed my life forever and I know that I have only been through one camp, but I am already looking forward to next year because I know I will become even that much closer to my brothers. It is an experience that I wish everyone could go through. I wish that while I was getting recruited last year that I knew how much family is really here. I mean the coaches will tell you that this is a family, but you don't see it unless you are here and see how close of a family we are now. My views are just one side of camp since I am just a freshman, but it really was a life changing experience.
