All In!

Tony Neymeiyer ’09 - When I start thinking about how my senior season is going, it hits hard that this is my last year, and it’s moving fast! It seems as though it was only yesterday that Coach House and his Wife picked me up at the Indianapolis Airport to come visit Wabash. As those of you who keep up with the team know, the year is going very well thus far, starting out with two wins.  I get asked all the time how difficult it has been to learn a new system and new coaches during my senior year. In response, half joking and half serious, I describe us seniors as old dogs who can still learn a few new tricks – and those new tricks have resulted in some good victories!

However, what makes me most proud about being a member of this team is that although there have been many new wrinkles instituted into our style of play, we still win the old way: TOGETHER. This week our theme as a team is “All Phases, ALL IN!” We have yet to put together a truly complete game and our emphasis this week has been to take our style of play up a notch in every facet so that on Saturday we can all get together after the game knowing that we went all in together to win!
