What a Weekend.

Where do I begin? Thursday afternoon was a pretty solid time at College Mentors for Kids. We all went around on a Monon Bell scavenger hunt taking the kids around the Allen Rec Center, football field, and now missing bell. My little buddy is finally starting to warm up to me and its pretty funny watching all the little boys run around, I assure you they live up to every stereotype about little boys possible. We took them to the middle of the field and all they wanted to do was run around since they were in a big open field. When we asked them to make posters saying good luck for the football team, my little buddy drew a Wabash football player stomping on a Depauw player. It was a good afternoon.

Friday brought the keg game which was phenomenal. It was officially my first trip to Depauw as a Wabash student and amidst all the harassing cheers and dirty looks, was an enjoyable time. We did win the keg game it I think it should be noted Chris Pearcy nailed the kick to send us into OT and then another to win the game. Friday night was pretty fun also. The alumni from the house came back and hung out for a while and the bell was in our kitchen most of the night.

Saturday was a disappointment, but still proved to be a good time. It was the first time I went to the Monon Bell game and was very impressed with the rivalry. If you have never been I would highly encourage you to go to the game. As a student, it was a great privilege to be a part of a rivalry thats been ongoing for 114 years. I am a proud Little Giant and still claim that title amidst a lucky first time 47 yard kick by a Dannie.

I look forward to Friday and some much needed time with my family. Saturday I'll be at the Oaken Bucket game at IU to hang with my brother and will spend the rest of the time around family and friends. I am pretty curious as to how college has been treating them since we all went to different colleges.
