2006 NCAC Championships

I can't believe how well the team did. It is that simple.

TWENTY ONE of our twenty six swimmers and divers performed better than they ever have to date.

All five relays swam to All-Conference Honors.

All-Conference Honors went to EIGHT SWIMMERS (Brent Graham, Michael Hewitt, Kyle Weaver, Jordon Blackwell, Zach Manker, Blaine Cooper-Surma, and Jordan Extine)

We scored 974.5 - Our highest point total since I have been here!

Without a doubt, this was "a team of the many" instead of a team of the few. What I mean by that is that this year, more so than any other year I have been here, we had more people contributing - and more people swimming inspired. Each night we set new Wabash College records for the number of swims we had in the finals. As you can tell, that depth, and that ability to improve, showed up in our All-Conference Relays and our total points scored.

Our divers also did an amazing job. This was the first time Tom Schiltz and Rob Fenoglio competed at the conference meet... and they both performed admirably. However both came away knowing that next year they will be even better. Clayton Craig, our third diver, showed off what one year of experience can do your for you with two 7th place finishes. All in all, the divers†scored 117 points for the team!

Congrats to all the swimmers, divers, and also to their parents. It was amazing year, and although a few are still heading out to Kenyon next weekend to try one more time, this team ended on a high note, one that I will remember forever.
