Getting to know JordOn Blackwell ‘09

CV: How long have you been competing?
JB: Pretty much since Birth
CV: What do you enjoy most in your free time?
JB: Exercising, working out, lifting, running. When I have free time, I’m usually in the gym.
CV: Best part about college life?
JB: The freedoms here—you have the freedom to be who you want to be.
CV: Favorite movies?
JB: Troy, 300, and the Hulk.

CV: Why these three?
JB: They display the pinnacle of masculinity. It’s motivating to me.
CV: Favorite Bands/Singers?
JB: 3rd Eye Blind, A Perfect Circle, Disturbed, Stereophonics, Jem, Sixx:A.M., Everlast, Collective Soul….just to name a few, I should probably stop there.
CV: Memorable moment during you time at Wabash College?
JB: In my computer science class last year, working with Vetor on our final project (an alarm clock program) where we went from going nowhere to making a breakthrough and completing it and on the day we had to present at 8:00 we met with the professor and everything went perfectly. It was a good feeling and a memorable experience.
CV: Why did you decide to make a terrarium for your room?
JB: Who doesn’t want a huge terrarium?
CV: Any Advice for oncoming freshmen?
JB: Get involved with the school through clubs, sports, intramurals, etc. If nothing else, get involved with the career services because in my opinion, it’s the best tool for the most important thing of what college is about; what you do after college.
CV: Any words for the ladies?
JB: (laughs) Don’t get me started.
