The End is Close
So to say the least, this year has been full of ups and downs. But lately it's been full of ups. And it only keeps getting higher. The training trip was a blast for everyone, even the seniors who had to take comps when they got back from the break. Taper started soon after and now we are in our last week stretch before we head over to good ol' Canton, Ohio for conference.
Taper has gone tremendously so far. We get in after a nice time just hanging out, to go easy for about 45 minutes with some practice on starts and turns. It's nice and relaxing, which is what we all need right now. The seniors are coming off their oral comps and will be finished before we start the conference meet.
The meet itself is shaping up to be a big one. We got brand new shirts for all to see (they are gonna be good). The meet itself is going to be a fight till the last race but it's just what we need as a team. We work best under pressure and that is exactly what this meet is going to be full of. Tight races till the very end, depending on turns, finishes, and ultimately who has more heart; who wants this the most.
I am very excited for this meet. It will be the last swim meet I compete in as a swimmer myself. So this one holds a special place in my heart. I look forward to it being one of my greatest as well as the teams.
See you all at the meet!
