Halloween

This weekend was the first time I had dressed for Halloween in years. The rest of the FIJI pledges and I dress up (traditionally like superheroes) and wear our costumes to class. They certainly attracted some stares.

Though I could’ve just gone to Walmart and bought a cheap kid’s costume for 5 bucks, I decided to carry out an idea of Brian David’s, one of the brothers. Captain Underpants. A staple of any boy's library.

I wore rolled-up white gym shorts and a red flannel sleeping bag around my neck. I’d say I looked the part. After all, Captain Underpants really only has two defining pieces of clothing.

A lot of people thought I was a Spartan. Though I’ve certainly got the build of one, Captain Underpants is both a better role model and a stronger warrior. Also, he wears a cape just plain better than Leonidas.

I won’t expose you to the lower half of my scandalous costume.

So after we run around in costumes for a day, the FIJI house takes trick-or-treaters. We decorated the foyer and facade the day before:

Spooky, right?

I don’t know how many trick-or-treaters actually come to the house, but all the candy was definitely gone by the next morning.
