We just over one week into the fall semester and it is nice to see some life back on campus after the summer. The Wabash College Tennis Team has begun its fall practice season. I am excited to see what the incoming freshman can do to help our program continue to get stronger.

We are practicing three times a week and have a preseason scrimmage scheduled for next week. I am working with different doubles combinations trying to find the right fit. The guys have come out ready to get after it and are working hard to back into shape. I am excited for this season since I did not graduate anybody. We have the same team as last year and are looking to finish higher in the conference than we have in the past.

Freshman Jay Horrey and senior Adam Van Zee will be traveling to St. Louis for the ITA Central Region Championships September 22-24. Both are playing singles and they are playing doubles together. I am hoping they can win a few rounds in doubles and each can do some damage in the singles draw.
