Great Homecoming for Wabash Baseball Family

Saturday, October 7th was a big day for the Wabash Baseball Family.  Not only did the squad wrap-up the Little Giant World Series and the fall season, but it was Homecoming on campus. It was the perfect opportunity for current players, coaches, alumni, parents, family members, and recruits to come together, catch up, and enjoy some baseball and food from the grill.

The Red Team wrapped up the World Series in 6 games on Wednesday and claimed their prize, 2006 Champions t-shirts, at the cookout.  Despite the Series technically being over, both teams came out to compete in true Wabash fashion on the morning of Homecoming.

The squad had a special treat before the game and cookout, when John Panozzo '89 addressed them about what it means to be a Wabash Man and a Wabash Baseball Player.  Dr. Panozzo summed both up well in three words..."Men of Character."  Thank you to Dr. Panozzo for his time and continued support of the program.

We would also like to thank Denise Hamilton and Megan Reh for their efforts in organizing and overseeing the cookout on Saturday.  Finally, thank you to all who came out this weekend to make it a great day for our players and coaching staff.  Saturday once again proved that Wabash truly is a special place!
