4 Little Giants Named to All-NCAC Baseball Squad

For the first time since joining the North Coast Athletic Conference, Wabash has had two position players named to the 1st Team of the All-NCAC Baseball Team.  Sophomore Matt Dodaro (Saint John, IN - Lake Central) was named 1st Team shortstop after earning Honorable Mention honors in 2006.  Sophomore Jake Thomas (Evanston, IL - Evanston) was named as a 1st Team outfielder.  Both Dodaro and Thomas were among the leaders in virtually every NCAC offensive category for 2007, while also setting Wabash single season records.  Thomas led the NCAC in hits with 59 while batting .424.  Dodaro led the NCAC in total bases with 98 while hitting 9 home runs.

Senior catcher Scott Hamilton (Indianapolis, IN - Bishop Chatard) was named to the Honorable Mention team, along with junior pitcher T.J. Siple (Pittsboro, IN - Tri-West).  Hamilton finishes his Wabash career as the all-time leader in sacrifice hits, while Siple led the Little Giants pitching staff in ERA for 2007.

Thank You Seniors

I would like to extend a sincere thank you to our two graduating seniors.  Scott Hamilton was a four year starter and letterman while catching, playing the infield and serving as a designated hitter.  Scott leaves Wabash with the career record for sacrifice hits.  Scott plans to have a career in business.

Nick Pompeo was a two time letterman while playing second base and designated hitter for the Little Giants.  This season he served the important role of student coach.  Nick plans to attend law school in the fall.
