Purdue University and Butler University Added to 2009 Schedule

                   

With inclement weather causing problems for many college baseball teams in the area, the Little Giants have added Purdue University and Butler University, two Division I opponents, to the schedule.

Wabash will take on the Boilermakers in West Lafayette at 4:00pm on Thursday, April 2nd for a single 9-inning game.  The last meeting between the two baseball programs was in 1984 at Purdue.  Purdue currently has the advantage in the series at 78-22-3.

The Little Giants will travel to Indianapolis the following week on Tuesday, April 7th to square off with the Butler University Bulldogs in a single 9-inning game.  The last meeting between the two schools was in 2004, when the Bulldogs earned a 8-3 victory over the Men of Wabash.  Game time is set at 3:00pm.
