Nominations were provided by various fraternity headquarters, Greek advisors, sports information directors, individuals via the NIC website and through research by Jay Langhammer. A total of 18 NIC member fraternities are represented from 42 colleges and universities. Players were chosen from both NCAA and NAIA institutions. Tyson (Sophomore) - Lambda Chi Alpha OF Jake Thomas (Senior) - Phi Kappa Psi July 27, 2009Three Future Little Giants End Summer Season at Victory FieldThree incoming Wabash Men, Michael Keve '13 (Granger, IN - Penn H.S.), Robby Hechinger '13 (Brownsburg, IN - Brownsburg H.S.), and Brittian Warner '13 (Lebanon, IN - Lebanon H.S.), competed in the 18U National Championship for the Indiana Bulls 18U team at Victory Field over the weekend. The Bulls dropped a tough 9-5 decision in the championship game to the Dayton Classics after going 4-0 in pool play. They went into the championship tournament as the #2 seed (out of 54 teams participating). Congratulations to Michael, Robby, and Brittian on a great summer season! Logan Frederick '12 (Lafayette, IN - Jefferson H.S.) will be competing for the Indiana Legion Baseball Regional crown starting today at Loeb Stadium in Lafayette. Frederick, a right-handed pitcher for the Little Giants, is a second year member of the Lafayette Legion Post 11 team. He recently had his leadership qualities recognized in an article by the Lafayette Journal & Courier. Frederick is just one of many Wabash Diamondmen who competed for summer league teams throughout the country in 2009. Also taking part in the summer action is Mike Schultz '08, who has been serving as pitching coach for the Waterloo Bucks of the prestigious Northwoods League.
