United by blood

Painting the bench is definitely an experience. One of bonding, camaraderie and the realization that you’re never as good of a painter as you think you are.  Not only am I not a good painter but there was five art majors there who blew me away. The detail they put into that bench was truly amazing. In my opinion the bench has never looked better.  They really created something the Unidos Por Sangre should be proud of. And the number of people who stopped and looked at the detail of their artwork was astonishing. I’ve never seen that many people stop and take a minute of their time to examine the colors on the bench.

With the painting of the bench and MXI associate meetings I can really feel the community and brotherhood of this place setting in. It’s funny how in a few short weeks you can find your niche and realize just how much this school has to offer you.  From Sacramento to Asia students have come to Wabash and are starting to realize that this school will give you what it takes to thrive. Sure it’s hard and challenging, but were in it till the end. Maybe that because at Wabash we are all Unidos Por Sangre.

Comments

Just a comment on both the beauty of the bench and the wisdom in
Ryan's blog. Congrats to Ryan, congrats to all the brothers of Unidos Por Sangre. Very moving closing line. "Maybe that is because at Wabash we are all Unidos Por Sangre."

You are already leading by your words and example.
