We've been working with Jim Amidon and Howard Hewitt in the public affairs office the past month or so to redesign our web photo albums.  Jim and his staff do a great job documenting campus events, and we hope our new photo album better showcases their work.

You can see the results of our efforts now, as Jim posted a cross country and football album today.  Photos are larger, and of much better quality.  Many pictures also have a downloadable hi-res version suitable for creating prints up to 8x10.

Mark Siegel, our application developer, employed some neat technology in building the photo album.  The system uses Efflare's ImageCR to automatically size and crop the main image and thumbnails.  This system lets our photographers get photos up on the web without spending a lot of time manually sizing images.
