What the ?!!??

One of the challenges of keeping on top of security concerns is that the technology language can be quite confusing. From worms to phishing, pharming to bugs, threats are described and categorized using hundreds of confusing--and often invented--words.

Monica Brainard, our help desk specialist, came across a nice general-purpose glossary on cnet.com (link below), and I've added a couple others from Sophos (maker of the anti-virus software we use at Wabash). Together, these glossaries should help you get up to speed on deciphering security messages and alerts.
